Feminism and Nigerian Girl Child Education
No group has ever spread lies or employed sophistries like MODERN
FEMINIST GROUP. No group has ever spread hate between male and the
female like this group. No group has ever caused dissension
in families like this group. No group has ever had the
highest number of brainwashed or deluded members like this group. In the quest for freedom, the modern woman
has become a slave, clothed with chains forged by her own hands.
It is quite exasperating, to watch Nigerian women promote these
feminist initiatives sponsored by wives of politicians who occupy
positions in the Nigerian government. Surely when their husbands leave the
seat, so also the feminist initiatives. Who still remembers the "Better
Life for Rural Women" created by Mariam Babangida in 1986, or the most
recent "Women for Change" Initiative by Dame Patience Jonathan. Go to
the rural areas and see the real suffering of women, such as hunger,
famine, to say the least. To them, it is no longer a battle of
equality or supremacy over the male, but that of survival. How would they even enjoy the
"benefits" of being feminist, when the proponents spread their
"hate-male" ideologies in fancy halls, attended by the high-class
citizens. They briefly visit these rural areas for the sake of advertisement when election is around
the corner. Recently, we've watched groups both international and local advocating for a so-called "Education for Marginalized Girls." The real question is, What impact has the "Educated Women" made regarding the welfare of women in Nigerian.
What type education are these feminists advocating for? Is it this education system that reeks of immorality at its secondary and tertiary level. Are we not tired of the immoral videos and pictures, of our school girls at the secondary level, flooding the internet? Is it a new story, that our girls in the tertiary level give in to the immoral demands of lecturers just to pass their courses?
Are we blind to the fact that almost all Nigerian female "celebrities" of immoral repute are educated under the same system advocated for these "marginalized" girls. Who are we mention or leave out of the list?
Caroline Samuel (Maheeda) is an educated woman, married and with a kid. Despite being married, she works as a nude model.
Judith Mazagwu(Afro Candy) is a porn-actress who graduated with B.sc. degree in Business Management.
Cossy Orjiakor, is not just a graduate of Accounting and Management at UNN, but also a Masters degree holder obtained from the University of Lagos .
And so on .
How do the feminist organizations respond to this deplorable situation in the system?
By distributing books and writing materials to the "marginalized" girls! What a way!
If only these feminists at large remove this "hate-male" content in their protests, they would realize that the coeducational (mixed) system is not suitable for a woman. They deserve a (gender) segregationist system of education at the secondary and tertiary level . In other words, it is not just a higher education TO women, but a higher education FOR women.
True Education primarily provides the needs and capacity of developing the mind. Considering the different mental constitution of both gender, it follows naturally that girls should be educated in a different school or college. A man's mind is logical and this makes courses like Mathematics or Engineering suitable for the man, while a woman's mind is intuitive and this makes courses like art, poetry, music etc. suitable for the woman. A woman can study the above mentioned "masculine courses", but this should not be done with the same intensity or degree to that of a man's. It's wrong or even harmful to teach both sexes the same subjects by the same methods in the same institution. Certain psychological needs of women are not met or totally missing in the coeducational curriculum for obvious reasons, but the failure of Co-ed system is a topic for another day.
I am what feminists call - A sexist. I believe a woman should summit to a man because it is a man's duty to protect and provide for her. He cannot carry out this duty if they are equals. There is a fine line between submission and slavery. A citizen who submits to the constituted authority is no slave, so also the wife.
No one can adequately provide for a woman more than the "Sexist".
I stand for a Segregationist Education For Women.
I stand for the Traditional Catholic Education.
Pax et Bonum.
